BFS IOA Asia/Pacific meeting

Join us in Yamagata, Japan for the Asia/Pacific meeting for networking and meeting including a special tour at the BFS plant at Nissin Pharmaceutical.

Please be advised that, due to high travel demand in Japan in December, the hotel’s cancellation policy is strictly enforced. We kindly ask you to respect the registration deadline of October 30 including hotel room bookings.

PROGRAM:

  • December 2: Welcome and get-together reception at HOTEL METROPOLITAN YAMAGATA at 6 pm

  • December 3: Half-day meeting, plant tour at Nissin followed by dinner at hotel including Japanese “Maiko” 

  • December 4: Full-day conference at hotel

Rooms are allocated on a first-come-first-basis. Please book your room directly with BFS IOA and not a travel agency as we have secured a block of rooms at the hotel. All hotel charges are to be paid directly with the hotel upon check-out. Additional nights at the hotel can also be requested and will be subject to availability.  

TRAVEL GUIDE

The easiest and most comfortable way to travel from Tokyo Airport to Yamagata is by Shinkansen (bullet train).
From Tokyo Station, you can take the Yamagata Shinkansen directly to Yamagata. The journey takes about 2½ to 3 hours.

If you arrive at Narita Airport, take the Narita Express (N’EX) to Tokyo Station (around 1 hour).
If you arrive at Haneda Airport, take the Tokyo Monorail or Keikyu Line to Tokyo Station (around 30–40 minutes).

CONFERENCE COST AND FEES 

Conference fees are as following including meeting and social event (travel and hotel to be paid by participants):

BFS OPERATORS

  • Conference is free of charge for BFS IOA operators members of 2025 - max 5 persons per company allowed
  • Conference cost USD 500,- per person for non-members operating BFS

BFS VENDORS

  • Conference is free of charge for BFS IOA member vendors of 2025 only - max 2 persons
  • Extra persons from member vendors USD 500,-/pax
  • Conference is not available for non-members being vendors 


ONLINE REGISTRATION

Deadline for registration was October 30, 2025. Please contact BFS@melitek.com for registration after deadline as we still have available conference seats.
