  BFS IOA Newsletter | December 2011
  As a successful BFS IOA year is coming to an end, we thank all our members for their participation and contributions during 2011. We also like to wish all members a joyful ending of 2011 and a prosperous 2012. Here is a brief update on coming BFS IOA events and activities in 2012.

  BFS IOA Asia/Pacific meeting 2011 is scheduled to be in Singapore on December 5-6th - please register now!

  BFS IOA American meeting 2011 in Charleston, USA
  BFS IOA American meeting 2011 is planned to be in Charleston (SC) on September 28-29th and will include visit to The Ritedose facility in Columbia (SC) on September 30th.

  BFS IOA European meeting 2011 in Como
  BFS IOA invite all members to join our BFS IOA European meeting & AGM 2011 that will be held by beautiful Lake Como in Italy on April 7-8th. Lake Como is very famous for its breathtaking landscapes, its hundred historical villas surrounded by huge gardens, its shopping and cafés. Lake Como is less than 1 hour drive from Milan Malpensa (53 km) which is nearest international airport. We start the meeting with our traditional welcome get together reception on Wednesday evening April 6th at 7pm and the meeting is scheduled to finish at 3pm on April 8th.

  PDA Workshop on Cleanroom Technology and Contamination Control
  Parenteral Drug Association (PDA) will be hosting a workshop on cleanroom technology and contamination control on April 19 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The PDA Workshop: Cleanroom Technology and Contamination Control will immediately precede the 2009 PDA Annual Meeting. One entire session will be dedicated to the topic of blow-fill-seal practices. This session will examine a best practices technical report for pharmaceutical blow-fill-seal manufacturing operations - prepared by PDA and the Pharmaceutical Blow-Fill-Seal International Association (BFSIOA). Session speakers will also examine the comments received during PDA's global review of the draft document.

  Annual Report from the BFS IOA Chairman for 2008
  We are now soon having our Annual General Meeting for 2009, that this time will take place in Schwäbisch Hall in southern Germany. With these lines, I will first of all welcome you all to this meeting, that kindly will be hosted by Rommelag and Holopack. Thanks to their kind openness, we will have the opportunity to get a presentation of the latest technical achievements in their machine development, as well as a presentation of the state of the art pharmaceutical production at Holopack.
